Admissions

We will do everything we can to make the transition into nursery and school as easy as possible.  If you would like to discuss any aspect of the admissions process, please feel free to telephone us or call in and discuss it.  We will be happy to help.

Within Sheffield authority, it is now possible to apply for reception class places and secondary places on-line.  If you would like us to help you with this process, please call in to the office and we will do everything we can to assist you.

NURSERY ADMISSIONS

Children can attend our nursery from the age of 3.   You are welcome to put your child's name down on the waiting list as soon as you wish.  We allot a morning or afternoon place and there are 5 sessions available to each child each week.  If you would like to visit the nursery to have a look round or to discuss the enrolment of your child into nursery, please telephone 0114 2848322 and we will put you through to nursery staff who can help you.

PRIMARY ADMISSIONS

Primary Admissions at Sheffield Children and Young People's Service (CYPS) are responsible for the allocation of all reception class places.  Ordinarily they will contact you via your child's nursery as a matter of course, but if you are moving into the area or the nursery your child attends is not a state nursery, then you will need to telephone the Admissions Team on 0114 2735766 who will be able to ensure your child is entered into the allocation process. 

For admissions into other years, i.e. Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6, please telephone the school to enquire over the vacancies we have.  We shall be able to organise a tour round the school for you and your child and at this stage we shall be able to process all the necessary paperwork if you decide that Greengate Lane is the place for you!  We are confident that you will be impressed with our fabulous school and grounds.  We are very lucky indeed to have such a school and we will proudly show you around on your V.I.P. tour!

SECONDARY ADMISSIONS

Secondary Admissions team at CYPS automatically send invitation packs to the Y6 children at the start of September.  If you are coming into the area, you are invited to telephone the Secondary Admissions team on 0114 2735790 and they will forward a pack to you.  All Y7 places can now be applied for on line or by hard copy.  If you have any queries, please contact the school office and we will do everything we can to assist.
