Admissions Policy
It is our intention to make Whitegate House genuinely accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community. In order to accomplish this, we will;
- Ensure that the existence of Whitegate House is widely known in local communities. We will place notices advertising Whitegate House and distribute information with contact details and have a web page @ www.whitegatehouse.co.uk.
- Arrange our waiting list in order of application. Children may be accepted ahead of their place on the list, at the discretion of the Principal, if a need has been identified by another professional (See Equal Opportunities Policy).
- Describe Whitegate House and its practices in terms which make it clear that it welcomes both fathers and mothers, other carers and relations, including childminders, and people from all cultural, ethnic, religious and social groups, with and without disabilities.
- Be aware of the the Gender and Ethnic background of children joining the group to ensure that no accidental discrimination is taking place.
- Make our Equal Opportunities Policy widely known.
- Seek assisted funds for those children whose parents/carers have limited means.
