Fees. Fees are paid termly or half-termly in advance. There are three terms in an academic year, Autumn which runs from September to December, Spring which is January to Easter, and Summer which is Easter to July. Snacks and Drinks. A mid morning and mid afternoon drink and snack are provided. Those children who are staying for a full day will need to bring a packed lunch. We ask that children begin their lunch with a savoury item and that no confectionery is included. In warm weather we also request that an ice cool pack be provided. Children and staff eat together encouraging social interaction, good manners and sensible eating habits. Record Keeping. Progress and achievement records are kept on all children in Kindergarten. They are used as a basis for drawing up a curriculum for each child. We invite and welcome parental contributions to these records which are available for inspection by parents at any time. Registration. Whitegate House Kingergarten is registered with the appropriate inspections bodies, such as OFSTED. Funding Assistance. All parents have access to Nursery Education Grants for three and four-year-olds. Working Family Tax Credit is also available to help parents with childcare costs. We also strive to source any additional funding for any child with special needs, where additional support is required.

Arrivals and Departures. Please ensure that your child’s arrival is recorded. If you are not bringing or collecting your child please informthe staff as to who is authorised to collect. This person must be known to the child and will be required to sign the departures book.
Clothes. In order to feel free to explore and experiment with all sorts of materials, including messy ones, it is best to send children in clothes which are easily washed or not too new. It is good for children to practice the skills which will make them independent. Simple clothing which they can handle themselves will enable them to go to the toilet when necessary to and to put on and take off their outdoor clothes without being too dependent on the help of others. It is very helpful if clothes are marked with the child’s name, as young children are not always aware of all the items that they have brought with them. Illness. If your chid is poorly they need to be at home with you. Please try to inform Kindergarten of any illness and how long the child may need to be absent. Don’t Worry. We want your child to be happy and we hope that their time at Whitegate House Kindergarten will be a positive and productive one. If you have any queries or if we can be of any help please let us know. |
