Applications. Application forms must be completed and returned to Whitegate House Kindergarten before any child can begin. We consider a minimum of two sessions per week to be the least a child may attend. A one-off non refundable administration fee of £20 is charged and should be returned with the application form.
Charge. Any requests for additions or alterations to sessions should be made in writing at least half a term in advance. If insufficient notice is given full charge will be payable. Any requested increases or changes to sessions will be made as soon as a vacancy arises. A term’s notice is required when children are leaving.
Holidays. Kindergarten does not operate on public holidays and all Lincolnshire Education Authority School holidays.
Fees. Fees are payable half-termly in advance on the first session of each term. Accounts will be issued each term. Any additional payments will be charged in arrears. No reductions on reimbursements will be made for absences. All sessions must be paid for. In the event of fees being outstanding for more than 30 days you may receive notice to withdraw your child. This action will be at the discretion of the principal. (Current fees are available on our website or on the separate sheet within your pack).
Property and Belongings. Whitegate House Kindergarten accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to children’s property. Every reasonable effort will be made to ensure belongings are not lost or damaged.
Insurance. We have full insurance cover.
Accidents. Parents will be informed of all accidents and will be required to sign the accident book. In the case of more serious accidents, where it is considered that hospital treatment may be required, every attempt will be made to contact parents. However, in the event of this not being |
possible, Whitegate House Kindergarten is authorised to act on the parents’ behalf and authorise the necessary treatment. Any condition, which may affect a child’s health, should be communicated to the staff and added to Kindergarten records.
Medication. At the discretion of the principal, staff at Whitegate House Kindergarten are prepared to administer prescribed medication, if parents register the request in the medicine book.
Illness. Parents are requested not to send their child to Kindergarten if they are suffering from any infectious conditions or if they are not well enough to attend. Parents will be contacted if their child becomes ill during the day. Please inform the staff if your child contracts any ailments, disease or illness. Please remember that we have a duty to consider the well being of all children in our care.
Security. No child will be allowed to leave Kindergarten with anyone unknown to staff unless previously arranged by the parent or carer. If arrangements are made by telephone we will require the name, address and telephone number of the adult, and we will require proof of their identity on their arrival. Adults, other than parents, will be required to sign the departures book.
All other issues are set out in the policy documents, which are available to all parents. Any comments or suggestions regarding these policies are always welcome.
