Our last Ofsted inspection in June 2009 rated us as Outstanding and commented that ‘Whitegate House Kindergarten provides highly effectively for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. The family atmosphere promoted by the group ensures that every child's needs are met exceptionally well. Close work between staff, parents and school results in all children making excellent progress in their learning and the aim to 'inspire' children is a reality’. Whitegate House Kindergarten was established in 1984 providing the first nursery education in the area. From our modest beginnings within the main house we have continued to grow and develop, culminating with a purpose built unit. This building, within the extensive grounds of Whitegate House, provides a unique rural setting within which young children can grow and develop.

Our aim is to create an enjoyable, stimulating environment, where education is professionally planned and delivered. In this way we are providing a safe, secure, caring setting to develop the confidence, personality and skills of each child.

Working in close partnership with parents, we aim to offer the highest quality service to you and your child. To ensure this, the team of staff, will be available at all reasonable times to keep you informed of your child’s health, happiness and progress. Throughout the year there are opportunities for parents to attend information evenings, training sessions and, on a voluntary basis, to offer their own skills and assistance. Your involvement is warmly invited and always welcomed.
