CROSSLEY STREET NURSERY

Curriculum information for

Spring half term.

Happy New Year and welcome to all the new children and parents to Crossley Street School.

For the new children

Settling in -  Children will need time and support to get used to new routines; making new friends, how to share, paint, choose an activity and pick a library book (every Monday).

Topics for this half term are:

Fairy Tales and Winter Time

We will be working on three main stories starting with:

           Snow White

           The Elves and the Shoemaker

           The Three Little Pigs

We aim to develop the child's appreciation of stories; develop their vocabulary; learn to co-operate with others and participate in storytelling through role play.

To link with this topic we will have a Fairy Tale Day on Wednesday

20th February.  We will be working alongside Reception and Key Stage 1.

During that day we will carry out activities linked with different Fairy Tales.  Your child, on that day, can dress up a a Fairy Tale Character.
