Parental Involvement
Parental support and understanding is vital if our school is to accomplish a high degree of success in achieving its aims. Parents are encouraged to help their children at home with reading and other homework.
Where staff are concerned about any aspect of a child's welfare or progress, parents will be contacted.
Parental help is also appreciated in school. Parents assist classteachers in a variety of ways including:
- Listening to children read
- Undertaking speaking and listening activities
- Supervising art and craft activities
- Working with small groups of children
- Helping children work on computers
- Assisting on school trips
We are particularly grateful to the members of our Parents' Task Force who work tirelessly on a regular basis carrying out a vast array of activities.
