In September 2003 13% of leavers went to St Joseph's College,48% to St Bede's,3% to Dixon's City Technology College, 5.% to Queensbury School, 20% to Thornton Grammar and 5% to Yorkshire Martyrs , 3% North Halifax High, 3% Beckfoot Grammar.


The Health and Safety Policy

It is the duty of every adult in school to be aware of Health and Safety issues and to alert the office to any hazardous situation or concern.

Equal Opportunities

All adults and children will be treated equally regardless of gender, race or ability.

Child Protection

When a child protection issue is raised the Headteacher will follow the LEA guidelines and involve Social Services as required by law.

Charging and Remuneration Policy

  Under the 1988 Education Act, education should be provided free. We are allowed to charge for musical instrument tuition. This takes place on Monday for pupils in Year 3 upwards. There is a choice of guitar or Asian Keyboard.

For school excursions we are allowed to charge for board and lodging, but any contributions for travel, entrance, theatre groups, etc. must be voluntary.

Anyone in receipt of F.I.S. may apply for a grant for residential visits.
